the Witch Hunter's appearance
in TTCC canon
As you may have guessed from looking up this character on Google or whatever search engine you prefer, Vivienne is not originally this character's name. In canon, they are known as Prester Virgil and is usually presented as a masculine character in the game of Corporate Clash itself. This is how I originally started liking them, too, believe it or not! I didn't knew anything about this character at first and only saw much from either transformative works that depicted them as the stereotypical 'racist white old git' or even 'the most bigoted colonizer you've ever seen in modern times'.
Despite all of this, however, something inside of me just seemed to click the moment I saw the Witch Hunter in other pieces of works and media that depicted them as someone who was in dire need of company and affection. Someone to keep by their side when they're at their lowest of lows and to celebrate with them at their greatest achievements. It wasn't until then that I saw who the Witch Hunter truly was: a lonely, old woman forced to keep guard on a tower, the only thing keeping her company being the mob that followed her under conditions and even still, she is oppressed by her job that barely gives her the credit for all she's worth.
Of course, this may be me being biased towards the character herself, seeing as I made a whole shrine dedicated to her amongst the many others I've made shrines for. I just don't exactly know how to put it into words, in reality. The best way I can even do that is to tell you who my dear Vivienne is and what she means to me as one of my truest loves.
In the canon of Corporate Clash,
Prester Virgil
is a Lawbot that first appeared in the November 22nd
update of the game known as Hires & Heroes, where 16 new cogs
known as Regional Managers show up in the game in different
parts of Toontown's playgrounds depending on the theme. In her
and Holly Grayelle's instance, these two appear in one of
Clash's newest playground, Ye Olde Toontowne, which is an area
heavily inspired off the medieval times with knights and magical
memorabilia.
Another thing to note about the Regional Managers
is that they are seperated into two catergories: Street Managers
& Kudos Managers; Street Managers can be easily found in the
streets of the playground they are currently residing in (apt to
their name) and will engage in battle with the player at anytime
upon encounter, whereas Kudos Managers are unlocked after a player
completes a number of Kudos Tasks for the playground after
completing the main tasks for the area. They can be seen in
specific areas of the playground in specific streets, sometimes in
the playgrounds' themselves! This instance can be said for Prester
Virgil who resides in the playground of Ye Olde Toontowne on top of
the big cobblestone spire where she is discussing with a couple
of cogs.
Personality wise, Virgil is a guarded, almost paranoid sort of character. They always seem to have this... air of hostility to whoever they seem to try and at least talk with them. They're even distrustful of their own boss Diane Morsecode due to her being able to reach the higher position that Virgil was supposed to get.
